Why Did We Create MEAT?
MEAT was born out of a simple idea: the Isle of Wight was hungry for something bold, smoky, and unforgettable.
It all started last summer, with a BBQ and a flame-fired Friday Club grilling Isle of Wight steaks over an Argentinian grill. The response? Huge. People couldn’t get enough. So when the colder months rolled in, we took the BBQ indoors and fired up a Texan-style pit smoker - bringing deep, slow-cooked flavour to the island all year round.
Now, MEAT is all about low-and-slow brisket, ribs, and pork smoked over oak and hazelwood, finished with our signature rubs, and served alongside our knockout cocktails in a warm, welcoming space.
We created MEAT because we knew the island wanted more. And it turns out we weren’t the only ones - events organisers jumped on board too, bringing MEAT to menus across the Isle of Wight.
From a summer spark to a year-round flame - this is BBQ, island-style. And we’re just getting started.

The Friday Club MEAT Platter
Our signature Friday Club meat platter is an absolute beast (in the best way). Think juicy sliced brisket, smoky chicken, and fall-off-the-bone king pork ribs - all seasoned to perfection by our kitchen wizard, Seb the chef. He works his magic in-house every week, so everything’s fresh, packed with flavour, and totally drool-worthy. Loaded with sumptuous sides, this platter is perfect for two, (a smaller version is available too!). It’s the ultimate Friday treat, bring your appetite and someone you like just enough to share with!

Vegetarian Smoked Hot Pot
Calling all veggies (and meat-eaters who like tasty things)! Our Friday Club vegetarian smoked hot pot is a total flavour bomb - smoky, hearty, and seriously satisfying. It’s packed to the brim with pit beans, sweet potato, pulses, and more, all bubbling away in a rich chilli tomato sauce that’s got just the right kick. Served up with soft tacos and a side of creamy, dreamy mac and cheese, it’s the kind of dish that warms your soul and fills your belly. Trust us, you won’t miss the meat - this one’s got star power all on its own!

Smaller Plates
Not in the mood for a full-on feast? No problem! Our Friday Club small plates are just the ticket—perfect for when you want a tasty bite without going all in. Each plate comes with coleslaw, pickles, and our house BBQ sauce (which is dangerously good). Take your pick from slices of king rib, juicy brisket, smoky chicken, or our hearty veggie hot pot. They’re smaller servings, but still packed with big flavour - and great value too. Ideal if you’re just here for a drink and a nibble, or lining your stomach for later adventures!
