ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What Is A Bloody Mary Cocktail?
The Bloody Mary is a tomato-based classic savoury cocktail made with vodka and typically enjoyed as a brunch or breakfast cocktail and is well known as the ultimate hangover cure! Today, the Bloody Mary remains a beloved brunch cocktail, enjoyed for its bold flavours, refreshing qualities and many a folk's go-to drink after an over-indulgent night before.
History Of The Cocktail
A popular choice for those who enjoy a bold and savoury cocktail. It is believed to have originated in the early 20th century, although its exact origins are unclear. One popular theory is that it was created in the 1920s or 1930s by a bartender named Fernand Petiot at the New York Bar in Paris, which later became Harry's New York Bar.
Initially, the drink was known as the "Bucket of Blood" due to its vibrant red colour and its reputation as a hangover cure. It is said to have gained its current name, Bloody Mary, either as a nod to Queen Mary I of England, known for her brutal rule and persecution of Protestants or as a reference to a waitress named Mary at a Chicago bar who was the inspiration for the drink.
Over the years, the Bloody Mary has evolved and taken on various adaptations and interpretations. There are countless variations and additions to the basic recipe, making it a customisable and versatile cocktail. Some popular variations include the addition of clam juice (creating a Bloody Caesar), garnishing with bacon or shrimp, or even adding unconventional ingredients like pickle brine or balsamic vinegar.

It all started when Adam was struggling to get a decent Old Fashioned after relocating to the

We used the Isle of Wight Cocktail Co for a summer party recently - they have a beautiful bar setup, brilliant staff, and the cocktails were amazing, our guests loved them! Best of all, we ordered some personalised cans to make them extra special - we got our favourite margaritas with our own name on the cans, so fun!
Adam was super helpful throughout and we would thoroughly recommend - he really brings the party!
